A humorous album of a young German-American woman living in North Dakota with approximately 600 photographs.
A playful album by Ella Schaefer-Proehl depicting friends and family performing in plays, cross-dressing, and camping, as well as images from World War I, Concordia College, and her wedding. Some individuals are identified, in pencil, and humorous captions from newspapers have been pasted alongside images. Silver prints, the images measuring 3¼x5½ inches (8.3x14 cm.), and smaller, and the reverse; also with 21 ephemeral items, including newspaper clippings, letters, and telegrams. 8vo, cloth, lightly worn. 1913-19
